Since the official release of iPhone 5 in the market last October 2012, Apple run out of stock due to its in-demand supply. On the first day of its pre-order in the market last September 14, 2012, it sold 24 million of licensed iPhone 5 for the first 24 hours, twenty times faster compare to the previous Apple Smartphones, thus it was referred as “the extraordinary iPhone sale.” An iPhone 5 is a touch screen based Smartphone with new features that people will enjoy. It is the 6th generation of Apple Smartphones since the release of iPhone 4s.
The External Features of iPhone 5
The physical feature of iPhone 5 is much better as compared to its predecessor. It is lighter with its slimmer casing, with a higher resolution of 4 inches widescreen and a series of 16:9 aspect ratio supports. The back casing is made of aluminium so you can forget about leaving some fingerprint marks on glass. The design provides a more elegant look with its white and silver model.
The Internal Features of iPhone 5
iPhone 5 has a three built-in processor too. First is the custom design called ARMv7 (Advanced Risk Machine), which is a type of processor that only requires 35,000 transistors that will allow a low usage of power. Another built in processor in iPhone 5 is the dual core “Apple A6,” a systematic type of chip (SoC) which drives a faster graphical presentation. And the third processor is called “iOS” which is the latest operating system of Apple Inc. This helps in eliminating logs while downloading map applications such as Google map and other servers like YouTube. iOS also supports LTE or initialism of Long Term Evolution that allows for a high speed wireless communication and detailed mobile phone data terminals.
The iPhone 5’s operating system is based on a direct manipulation that allows continuous presentation of objects and a multimedia gesture that enables the system to recognize two or more tap of fingers as it contact to the surface. Its operating system is based on swipe, tap, pinch, and reverse pinch. An internal accelerator application is also used to respond while shaking the device.
Aside from its superb built in operating system, this phone can also accomplish “hotspot,” a site that offers free services of internet access over a wireless local area networking that shares internet connection through a WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB.
The New App Store
But the latest application that was added to iPhone 5 is its App store, an online application that gives you the access to buy stuff and to download digital applications from iTunes. The application is said to be free for some services while some may cost a bit, depending on the type of application that you ordered. The application can be downloaded through your mobile phone or straight right from your PC.
Downside of the New iPhone 5
Although Apple receives a positive feedback from the public, however problems were also reported with regards to its Map application. The built-in processor iOS receives a negative review as consumers were having a hard time downloading the Google map. Another problem reported is related to matters such as the resolution of the camera which the public expects to be of higher quality. Because of this issue, a new project to increase the megapixel of iPhone 5 is on the process of completion for usage.
The Will Am I+ Software for iPhone 5
With the release of this unsatisfactory rate by the consumers, as they expected more from its mobile camera since it is the latest from Apple, and when you say Apple Smartphones, it is something that people considered as “worth buying for.” Because of this incident, the singer and composer from the Black Eyed Peas William Am I proposed a project that everyone will surely love and enjoy this holiday season. His project was called “Will Am I+,” a software that will enhance the megapixel of Apple Smartphones. He said that the software is capable of upgrading the iPhone 5’s 8 megapixel to 14 megapixels which is high enough to capture each great moment. He added that the idea of the Will Am I + project started when a model took a picture through her iPhone and it became a hit on the social networking site when she posted it. Although there wasn’t any announcement with regards to the fix price of the software it is expected that it will be released before the holiday season.

China has blocked access to The New York Times after a lengthy expose claiming the family of Wen Jiabao has amassed assets worth $2.7 billion through a web of investments.
The report published Friday says most of Wen’s family’s wealth was accumulated after he rose to high office in 2002.
New York Times’ spokeswoman Eileen Murphy says the paper hoped access to the sites could be restored shortly.
The report is a blow to Wen’s reputation as a politician concerned with bettering the lives of ordinary Chinese.
Love them or hate them, the folks at Samsung have some really impressive products. From their smartphones to laptops, it looks like they have a product for everyone. They also manufacture really good display devices, such as computer monitors and HDTV’s.
One realm they’re really good at is making ultrabooks. Positioned as the direct competitor to Apple’s MacBook Air, ultrabooks are designed to be fast, light and very responsive.
With that in mind, Samsung’s ultrabooks are considered to be one of the best ultrabooks around. We’ll look at their new Series 9 to see if that’s true.
The Series 9 is one of the sleekest looking ultrabooks around. Featuring a flat black finish made from aluminum, the Series 9 stands out because of its elegant styling.
This laptop also happens to be one of the thinnest around. How thin? An amazing 0.51 inches thick, or rather, ‘thin.’ This means the laptop is also just an amazing 2.61 pounds light.
This laptop is perfect for those who only need a laptop for basic tasks on the go, and have a powerful desktop at home.
Being a premium ultrabook, you get a premium display. You have a 13.3 – inch display with a nice resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. While it may not be 1080p, remember that it makes everything look smaller, so 900p is just about right.
It features a matte surface and the display is made by Seiko – Epsom, one of the best manufacturers of displays. Not only is the screen bright, but it also looks great thanks to the reduced glare. It features PLS technology, which is a step above IPS displays.
Thanks to the premium display, you get great viewing angles. The middle offers the best viewing experience, but the sides are also good if you need to move your head. Pushing it forward still yields good results.
Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors are a big step for laptops. While Ivy Bridge desktop processors are generally more improved thanSandy Bridge, it seems like Intel paid more attention to laptops this time around.
This laptop comes with an ultra – low voltage processor from Intel to save battery life. This processor is the i7 – 3517U. It’s a dual – core processor that is sure to keep you satisfied for a long time. While it performs admirably on everyday tasks, you might want to go a different route if you need apowerhouse.
Since this is an ultrabook, you don’t get any graphics cards. That doesn’t mean this laptop can’t play games though. Well it sure can, but it does have limited playability. For example, Sleeping Dogs can be played with everything on low at 25 fps at 768p. Valve games fare better though, with Counter – Strike Global Offensive running at 28.2 on High, still at 768p.
If you plan on playing games, you’d best stick to games that don’t require any taxing visuals.
For memory, you get 4 GB which is enough for everyday stuff. Storage comes from a Lite – On 256 GB mSATA SSD. It’s very fast and provides you all of the responsiveness of a typical SSD.
This laptop is one of the most elegant ultrabooks out there. Samsung has put a lot of thought into its design. From the looks alone, you know you’re in for a treat with this laptop.

QR or Quick Response codes are handy little barcodes that can store data like numbers, websites and text. They’ve been used in many boring ways before, but now TechInUs shows you some offbeat and fun ways to use them to your advantage.
Reminders for friends/family
Do people complain about your handwriting? Instead of leaving handwritten reminders or notes, you can generate a QR code with a reminder message that you want to convey to friends or family. Create your QR code using one of the listed services in the box, print it and place it somewhere with high visibility (like the fridge). Anyone can quickly scan the QR code using a phone or tablet to view the reminder on their screen.
Use them as clues for a treasure hunt
A treasure hunt normally has a series of clues which leads to a final treasure – in this case, you can replace the text clues with printed QR codes to make a ‘geeky’ treasure hunt. To make things harder as the hunt progresses, the initial clues can be simple text and later ones can be websites. You can also check out http://www.qrwild.com – a place where you can create and play your own game using game pieces placed online or in the real world.
Logon to a secure Wi-Fi network
On http://www.qrstuff.com, you can generate a QR code to let anyone connect to a protected Wi-Fi once they scan it. You will need to enter the Wi-Fi network name (SSID), password and the type of security before generating the code. Once done, anyone who scans the code from their phone will automatically be able to join the network without having to manually enter the password or search for the network (works with Android only).
Include on visiting cards
Most QR code generation websites let you create a code that incorporates all your contact information to create a virtual visiting card (vCard). You can include your name, company title, phone number, website and other relevant information (preferably on the back of the card). With a code like this printed on your visiting card, anyone can scan the card to instantly get all your details on their phone for a quick save.
Print ‘For Sale’ signs
QR codes are great for ‘For Sale’ signs – especially when you want to sell your car. An interested (and tech-savvy) passerby may not have enough time to note down the details in text, but he/she can quickly scan the code to get more details about the item on sale, your name and your contact number. You can also link to photos of the item on a Flickr or Picasa page so that interested buyers can view more detailed images.
Use in email signatures
QR codes can be scanned off a screen, so it makes sense for you to include one in your email signature. Normally, this code will duplicate what the signature already says in text but can vary depending on whether you use it for personal or professional use. To do this, first create your QR code using one of the methods outlined in the box (right) and then host the image on any image hosting site (like http://imgur.com). Get the direct link to the image and add it to your email signature.
Get a QR Code tattoo
A skilled tattoo artist will be able to recreate a working QR code tattoo (in different colors) on various parts of your body. It’s the ultimate in geek street cred – your tattooed QR code could have your personal website, number, Facebook/Twitter handle or anything else you want. Just make sure that the code has sharp lines and is tattooed large enough to be easily read by a scanning camera (roughly 1.5 to 2 inches square at least.
Print QR codes on T-shirts, keychains…
On http://www.qrhacker.com (free sign-up required), you can generate (incorporate text, website, phone number or a virtual card) and customise your QR code’s look with different colours. It can even be set to show a picture in the background or foreground. Once you have your designer code, you can get it printed on a T-shirt, keychain or other personal merchandise to share information.
How to Create & Read a QR Code
QR codes can be created very quickly for free. They can be saved on your computer as PDF files or JPEG/PNG image files. Head to sites like http://beqrious.com, http://www.azonmedia.com or http://www.qrstuff. com. You can generate a QR code pointing to a website, to a Google Maps location, with plain text, linking to a Facebook/Twitter page or to directly update a social network by just scanning the code. Type the relevant information in the corresponding box on the website and it will generate a QR code for free. To make a QR code that looks a little out of the ordinary, you can change the foreground/background colour and add a photograph or logo into the code. To read QR codes, you need a QR code scanner app on your smartphone. Google Goggles and NeoReader are free apps that work great on Android, Windows Phone and iOS devices. If you have a BlackBerry, check out QR Code Scanner Pro. All that you need to do is launch the app, point the phone’s camera towards the code and it will automatically show you the contents. Make sure that your phone has a working data connection (Wi-Fi or cellular) in order to view or act on the information provided.
